Whole BodY SHOP IN SHOP IN WHOLE FOODS

CHUTE GERDEMAN / 2014

Was the Branded Environments Designers on this project, worked closely with a Visual Merchandiser, Graphic Designer, and Project Manager to develop concept visuals, floor plans, and ultimately produced all the renderings for Whole Body. Worked with the visual Merchandiser to develop customer flow in the space, materials used, and key focal points for product merchandising.

Whole Foods wanted to create an ownable branded identity for their Whole Body department that emphasized health & beauty. Key components our team was solving for:

• Increase department awareness and foot traffic.

• Develop a system of focus points for product “stories” and seasonal cues

• Create a destination where customers feel comfortable to test products; giving them room, samples, and good lighting.

• Make all customers feel welcome, even with a shopping cart.

• Keep the department easy to merchandise and maintain.

• Promote Whole Foods’ key brands, knowledgeable sales staff, and availability of industry leading products.

• Highlight, within the design, the mission statement and team members.
